Not far from Marseille (35
minutes), "La Capitainerie" is
situated in a small and charming village 12km north of Aix-en-Provence
and close to the Parc Naturel Régional du Lubéron.
The
old stone wash-house at the entry of the village give the style to
the general athmosphere and guides you to the property.
Saint Canadet is surrounded by forests and wineyards that are an
invitaion to walks all around and to the tasting of wines in one of
the many caves in the surroundings.

You will have the choice between tasting the farniente
watching the "Le Lubéron", while resting on a deckchair,
swim in the lovely pool or discover the numerous cultural sites or
spots for sports in the region.

You can enjoy horse riding, biking, diving in the
sea offshore of the famous Calanques or play tennis at 5 km.
The amateurs of music will find an important choice
of festivals in La Roque d'Anthéron or the festival of Aix-en-Provence,
only to mention the two most famous ones.

The richess of Aix-en-Provence (home town of Cézanne),
with the "cours Mirabeau", its cafés, fontains, the
"Montagne Sainte Victoire" are by themselves fabulous excursions.
La Camargue, Arles, les Baux de Provence, Saint Rémy
are at only a one hour drive from the house. Marseille and Cassis
are only at 35 minutes by highway, of which the access is very quick
(6 minutes).
